Hi Nicole! Long time no see!

I'm keeping out of trouble for a change. Unfortunately pain is making me do that though. (I just got diagnosed with fibromyalgia last week). I still try to do things though. Like last weekend I made lemon butter. That was good, but my body sure didn't appreciate it. Was going to go out for a little while today, but my body again stopped me from going. I have good days and bad days. I'm looking forward to more good days.

How are things with you?

Well I guess having a diagnosis finally can be helpful? You can know what to do to help can't you?

Ahh things are ok with me. Nathaniel has issues with his digestive system or something that we are investigating, sleepless nights for 11 months isn't fun. Neither is a baby in pain. Marriage is still kind of lousy, so nothing new there either. Not much else to report :)

Anyone see Matthew (don't know last name) win gold in the men's diving? So cool!

I've been put on a painkiller, but other than that, I'm doing what needs to be done. Have to cut back on the amount of exercise that I'm doing though.

I did see him win the diving. Tonight they showed him being congratulated by his partner, Lachlan, and his mum.

Oh is Michael gay is he?

Trish- Is your condition where you body hurts alot for no apparant reason? I am pretty sure when I had pains and a rash my doc thought I had it, but I don't. Has the painkiller helped at all?

Thanks Kylie. How is your job going? Did one of your two have a problem when they were younger?

Trish- they don't really know what's wrong with him, I have created a new thread in the WO folder for support for mums with special/high needs if you wanted to keep up on it if I don't remember to post in here (bad memory these days with no sleep ). They say he has silent reflux, but it could be that AND an allergy. Or just an allergy, or an allergy and something else physically. Not too sure on it all. Frustrating that I have to wait until Dec. If only the Paedtrican had listened to me earlier I could of seen one of the visiting specialists that was in my town the other week. He only comes here once a year

Yep, he's gay.

Yeah, fibromyalgia does cause a lot of pain all over your body, in the muscles. It also causes headaches, stomach problems, sleep problems, memory/concentration problems, skin conditions, all sorts of things. It's really nasty.

J had two operations on his skull, one at 6mths and one at 8mths. Up until the first operation he cried non-stop. Even in his sleep he would whimper.

Did anyone catch Australian Idol last night?

Kylie

Why was that Kylie? Poor J!! I am worried about the needles tomorrow, not looking forward to it!

Yeah I watched it last night, missed it tonight though.

I really liked the young girl, Brooke was her name. There was some good talent this year!

Diet doesn't help. Weight loss does if you're heavier than the average bear, but otherwise, no.

Just have painkillers, antidepressants, some exercise, good sleep if possible. Other than that, not much helps.

I haven't seen Australian Idol yet, but I have recorded them. I'll have to hurry up and watch them.

Thanks Nicole.

I go to the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'll be headed to the gym in less than an hour. Won't be doing a full workout, but at least it's something.

He had a condition called Craniostenosis. Basically the gap which ran between his softspots in his skull closed over too early so that his brain was still growing but part of his skull wasn't which meant he was getting headaches and his head was becoming malformed.

quote:

X had me laughing so loud when the guy stripped down to show off his body.

You probably know the term 'budgie smugglers'. Well, X took one look at the guy in that tiny pair of pants and said, totally deadpan, "Big pigeon". I spent about five minutes in my bedroom, smothering my mirth after telling her that she didn't need to say that.

Ouch @ craniostenosis! No wonder there were headaches!

Kylie, that's a classic!

No, the headaches he gets now are hormone and food related.

They were just strange!

Did you see how Mark Priestly (Dan) from All Saints has killed himself jumping off a building? He was a great actor. Depression is what they say he had.Very sad, I wonder what they will do with the story line, he and Ricki just got married.

Tonight was the first time that I've seen Australian Idol.

Yes, it is sad about Mark Priestly. I don't watch All Saints, but I do know who he is. He's originally from Perth.

It's so sad the number of well known people who suffer from depression and take their lives. Just in the past 12 months, there's been news reader, Charmaine Dragun, Heath Ledger and now Mark Priestly. It's just sad.

Yeah, it is.

I know of 2 friends this year who've taken their own lives due to depression. It wasn't very far apart either.

Depression is not something I would ever wish on anybody.

What are everyone's plans for the weekend? Are we the only ones who post in here (we as in Trish, Kylie)?

No, there are others who pop in too.

I'm planning to spend the weekend cleaning my carpets. I've spent quite a bit of money on a wet vacuum cleaner and I want to try it out.

Not sure where the others are.

Don't know yet what plans are for the weekend. These days I have to take the wait and see approach. I can plan all I like, but I don't always get to do what I'd like. I might see if John and Joan want to head to Waldecks tomorrow for a look around. We'll see.

I've got some snail mail to catch up on too. Not everybody I know is online. That, and I do have snail mail pals.
