50 years from now we will look back at the gay marriage ban the way we now look at segregation and inter-racial marriage laws. Not supporting gay marriage (even though I support Gay marriage), just telling it like it is. I agree with you here, Kasey. Every poll I've seen that has been broken down by age has showed that the the younger the person answering the poll, the more likely they were to support gay marriage. 50yrs from now, once the "greatest generation" and their offspring "the boomers" are gone, I suspect this will be a non issue amongst most folks.

I'm curious how many folks here on this sight think this is an indication that Conservative Christians are losing ground in the so-called "culture wars"? To answer my own question, in light of the above, obviously I think yes, state by state, they are losing ground in the "culture wars".

And homosexuals will wish for the days when Christians influenced our culture. Of course, the homosexual lobbby isn't interested in 'the long run', but the pleasures of today.

ORIGINAL: Marcus. Our country and government were founded on Christian principles. The revisionist version of our history is a lie. So why are the words "God", "Jesus", "Christian", "Christianity", or "Christ" never mentioned once in the entire Constitution of the United States? The word "religion" is mention once, where the 1st amendment says: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" This is a constitutional government, not a theocracy. Would you prefer the constitution of the United States be thrown out and replaced with the Bible? You seem to have missed a word that modifies my statement. quote:
Our country and government were founded on Christian principles. Basing the underlying inspiration and foundation on Christian principles doesn't make a government a theocracy. A theocracy would be enforcing the criminal code directly from what the religious reference text calls sin and the punishments would come from them as well with no deviations. We can certainly find all kinds of deviations from Judeo-Christian commandments and teachings in our penal codes. Why do so many of the Founders and even Supreme Court statements (first 150 years) describe this as a Christian nation? They certainly outweigh any countering statement by far. Why did they call for days of prayer and fasting so often in the early republic? Why did the Founders consider Christianity the best support for our type of government. The idea that this is a purely secular government hasn't even been around for 100 years yet. I don't trust the men of our age to faithfully carryout God's commands and teachings. I do look forward with fervent hope to the day that the Messiah returns and establishes His reign over all that He has created and brings true justice to the planet.

Many people don't get married in a church. Which is why I say that marriage should be church-regulated, not government regulated. Take for instance the following case: County clerks furious at changes in marriage form The government regulating marriage leads to cases like this. Couples started forgoing applying for licenses because they could not identify as "bride" and "groom" because of the gay marriage issues. If a couple wishes to get married, let them find a church who will marry them. Marriage has always been an institution of God, not man. quote:

Either way though, homosexuals should hope that Christians are the one's reproducing, because their fates are rarely very hopeful in either Islamic or overtly atheistic societies.

Greetings For those of us who keep track of God exposing unrighteousness one may find this to be very interesting We all know the leading Ted Kennedy was the forefather in the introduction of homosexual rights in his own State and in the DEM party Since California was found to have contaminated White Rabbit Creamy Candy ….the Lord has just marked another state “Connecticut as early as yesterday… with the same and both are now willing participants in the degradation of this country …..but the funny thing is about the marking is that Mass which is the third State that participates in the degradation of this country where the forefather resides seems to have not been affected….. kinda makes one wonder… Well those 3 states have bypassed the will of the people and it seems they were also marked before hand by this truth which began in Mass. I see 2 down and 1 to go …Perhaps… Mass. will be the next in line for some dirt to be revealed (HARTFORD, Conn.) — An industrial chemical blamed for sickening thousands of infants in China was found in candy in four Connecticut stores this week, a state official said Wednesday. http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1846425,00.html More Related Melamine China’s Tainted-Milk Scandal Spreads Tips for Hosting an Allergic Child Days after contaminated White Rabbit Creamy Candy was found in California, Connecticut Consumer Protection Commissioner Jerry Farrell Jr. said tests found melamine in bags of the candy sold at two New Haven stores, a West Hartford market and an East Haven store. Chicago to Create Tax-Funded High School for Homosexual and Transgender Students (CNSNews.com) – The Chicago School Board is poised to approve a taxpayer-funded public school designed to provide what some call “a safe haven” for homosexual students. The Social Justice High School - Pride Campus, slated to open in 2010, will incorporate lessons in sexual identity into its history and literature curricula. a high school for homosexual and transgender students? i thought discrimination was against school policy or will they also accept "straight" students if they should apply for admission?

the best way to win the culture war is to demand for the criminalization of homophile acts and practices, that is the only way, this will also prevent schools and the media from promoting such immoral practices. remember there is no such thing as freedom of sexuality, only freedom of religion and freedom of speech, we had better start exercising our freedom of religion and start demanding for the criminalization of homophilia just like what Scripture says, if we don't, we will lose our freedom of religion and freedom of speech, and these homocrats will start ruling society. anyone and everyone who engages in homophile acts of anykind should be locked up. Boycott Successful: McDonald's Abandons Homosexual Activism By Kathleen Gilbert OAK BROOK, Illinois, October 10, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The American Family Association (AFA) announced the end of a successful boycott yesterday against McDonald's Corporation. McDonald's has severed its ties to a homosexual business group and declared neutrality in the culture wars as per AFA's request. AFA's five-month boycott ended after Richard Ellis, former McDonald's vice president of U.S. communications, left his seat on the board of directors of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). McDonald's, which was offered the seat after donating $20,000 to the NGLCC, has announced there are no plans to replace Ellis on the board. In an email to its franchise owners, McDonald's said, "It is our policy to not be involved in political and social issues. McDonald's remains neutral on same sex marriage or any 'homosexual agenda' as defined by the American Family Association." "The franchise owners understood very early that this was an issue that McDonald's did not need to be involved in from a corporate level and they needed to stick with serving good food products in a convenient way, at a good price," said AFA's director of special projects Randy Sharp, http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2008/oct/08101003.html Thank God for the American Family Association, we need more people and groups like them. I will pray for more successfull boycotts against demon-coddling corporations.

EU Declaration Tabled Demanding All Member States Recognize Same-sex "Marriage" By Hilary White BRUSSELS/LONDON, October 9, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Homosexual activists within the European Parliament have this week tabled a declaration demanding that all member states recognise the same-sex "marriages" and civil partnerships of all other member states. The declaration was tabled today by British Liberal Democrat party Member of European Parliament (MEP) Sharon Bowles. It instructs, "Member States with existing same-sex partnership legislation to recognise the arrangements of other Member States that have also made provisions for same-sex partnerships," and for "guidelines for such mutual recognition by Member States with existing same-sex partnership legislation." The declaration was tabled days after a speech at the European Parliament by Christine Loudes, the policy director of the European branch of the International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA-Europe). The speech was organised by the European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs on Fundamental Rights in the EU. Loudes commended the Fundamental Rights Agency's report on "homophobia in the EU" for including reference to "issues of freedom of movement and mutual recognition of LGBT families relationships in the EU." http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2008/oct/08100908.html With immoral policies like this, its no wonder Europe is a dying continent about to be overrun by islamic fanatics.

Using Biology, Not Religion, to Argue Against Same-Sex Marriage By RAY RIVERA and CHRISTINE STUART Published: October 11, 2008 Patricia and Wesley Galloway could not have children of their own. Yet for them, the essence of marriage is rooted in procreation. Gay Marriage Is Ruled Legal in Connecticut (October 11, 2008) “It takes a man and a woman to create children and thus create a family,” Mrs. Galloway, 60, told a legislative panel in Connecticut last year as it was considering a bill to legalize same-sex marriage. The bill never went to a vote, but on Friday the Connecticut Supreme Court eliminated the need for a bill when it struck down the state’s civil union law and ruled that same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry. Story Continues

First Graders Taken to San Francisco City Hall for Gay Wedding SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In the same week thatthe No on 8 campaign launched an ad that labeled as "lies" claims thatsame-sex marriage would be taught in schools to young children, a first gradeclass took a school-sponsored trip to a gay wedding. Eighteen first graderstraveled to San Francisco City Hall Friday for the wedding of their teacherand her lesbian partner, The San Francisco Chronicle reported. The schoolsponsored the trip for the students, ages 5 and 6, taking them away from theirstudies for the same-sex wedding. According to the Yes on 8 campaign, thepublic school field trip demonstrates that the California Supreme Court'sdecision to legal same-sex marriage has real consequences. "Taking children out of school for a same-sex wedding is not customaryeducation. This is promoting same-sex marriage and indoctrinating youngkids," said Yes on 8-ProtectMarriage.com Campaign Co-Manager Frank Schubert."I doubt the school has ever taken kids on a field trip to a traditionalwedding," Schubert said.

School Field Trip to Teacher's Lesbian Wedding Sparks Controversy First-graders in San Francisco took a field trip to City Hall to celebrate the marriage of their lesbian teacher on Friday, but opponents of same-sex marriage in the state say the field trip was an attempt to “indoctrinate” the students, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. The field trip was suggested by a parent at the Creative Arts Charter School, and the school said the trip, where students tossed rose petals on their teacher and her wife as they left City Hall, was academically relevant. "It really is what we call a teachable moment," said Liz Jaroslow, the school’s interim director, according to the newspaper. She said same-sex marriage had historic significance. "I think I'm well within the parameters." A teachable moment?!? Paid with citizen's tax dollars?!? Chalk up another reason for homeschooling, if public schools are going to start this mess.
