hey folks,
I'm a christian, and I've been kinda avg as a christian but over the past few weeks , i've been really into doing my devotions and reading and all that good stuff .... BUT yesterday i kinda did something i shuoldn't have done(sexual immorality - received an erotic massage)... ii dont even know what i was thinking ... but thinking and looking back it was sin. i dont feel good at all right now .. i mean i just feel like poo...i feel prty guilty for what i did .... and i dont know how to even begin to ask forgiveness from god ... like is there anytihng i can say ... i mean i know that god hears my prayer and loves me and forgives my sins and all .... but i just need something more .... i mean what can i say to god ?? ... this prly the most devastating thing i've done after i became a christian .... could someone post an example prayer asking for forgiveness .. and could someone pray for me ... i didnt know what else to do so i posted on here ......

Hi Sharpy, No you can not use that word or any other curse word here... >_>
When you ask for forgivness it doesnt have to be some model prayer or anything fancy just as long as you are senceirly asking for forgivness... God will hear you. We all mess up, I know I have had my share of messing up too...but as long as your sencerily seeking forgivness and wanting to change God will help. When we first let Jesus become our Lord and Savior... we had our lifes to Him, give him the control. Many things in our old life we drop fast others take a little time to stop but as long as your willing God will help. I hope I have been of some help, I will pray for you.

Be completely repentant.
Make up your mind to never do it again.
And move on. Stop feeling guilty.
There's no "magic prayer" that makes everything right.

That's because you weren't. If you were, you would have consciously reconsidered the situation you were putting yourself into. Instead, you allowed your sin nature to override logic in choosing the correct moral decision. But, don't fret, because it happens. It's inevitable to avoid sin nature when it's encoded into us.

Alright. If you don't want to be an average Christian, you need to start surrendering.
If you don't want to surrender anything, then you can't deepen your relationship with God.
I gave up Dane Cook. Why? Because he swore way too much. It was hard, because I really did enjoy his jokes, but his swearing was rubbing off on me.
I gave up my boyfriend who I seriously loved. Why? Because he wasn't a Christian and I wanted to surrender everything to God.
And after I've done this, I'm getting closer to God.
I'm not bragging about this, I'm offering you examples of what I mean by surrendering.
You need to think before you make decisions. You need not to give into temptations. And you need to start giving up on certain things and give them to God.
Ask yourself, what would you surrender? what if God told you to leave crosswalk.com because he wants you to get closer to him? Would you?
What if God wanted you to give up TV? Would you?
What if God wanted you to give up your job because it was leading you away from Him but you really enjoyed it? Would you?
I'm not saying surrendering is going to be easy. It's definitely not. But if you truly, truly want to become a STRONG Christian...you need to start surrendering. You need to be a LIVING SACRIFICE.

Definitely. If you are feeling guilty, it's from Satan. But what you did was wrong, but it's by Jesus' blood that we are saved. We all make mistakes, sometimes BIG mistakes, sometimes little mistakes. But we have Jesus on our side and he offers us second chances repeatedly.

.sorry my eyes arent as good as they once were i think i need glassees so sorry..i thought they said "message" hehe but still if they repent and vow not to do it again all is forgiven..as long as it is done thorugh Christ.
