This is my first post, I love my Pepsi Cola. Anyway, I need advice. Slept with my partner for several times. Wrong, I know & Sinful I know. Wished I hadn’t done so. Lonely now, he went back to ministry after a heartfelt confession & I fell lost and delusional. Never spoken for 2 months & I cannot forgive myself. I wish I could talk to anyone, any advice. I know God loves us but I cannot personalise it right now. Don’t even have local church to run to, but I am intending to resign from work to go back home which is 3 hours and maybe going back to do my Master degree will help to put things into perspective. I have lost emotion towards life.

First of all, Lapepsi, let me put some motherly arms around you and hug you. (HUG) And I like Pepsi, too, but rootbeer is my favorite. quote:
Anyway, I need advice. Slept with my partner for several times. Wrong, I know & Sinful I know. Wished I hadn’t done so. Lonely now, he went back to ministry after a heartfelt confession & I fell lost and delusional. Never spoken for 2 months & I cannot forgive myself. I wish I could talk to anyone, any advice. I know God loves us but I cannot personalise it right now. OK, here ya go: God bought us with His blood on the cross when we all hated God and were dead in our sins. That we sin now is no surprise to Him because He had to come to earth and do something so He could forgive us of all our sin. And He does! Look at 1 John 1: 5-10: 5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. We confess our sins - that means we say the same thing God says: "That was sin." We repent: we turn around and go the other way. We don't do it again. And God forgives us and cleanses us from all unrighteousness. And if God has forgiven us, then we can forgive ourselves (because we aren't better than God, right? ) Our sin causes us to have godly remorse ("Gee, I really wish I hadn't done that. I feel bad about it."). It sounds to me like you are right on track with this. So, dear sister in the Lord, accept God's forgivenss with gratitude, take His hand and walk on, knowing that He loves you and has not rejected you. Let your remorse help keep you from falling there again, and rejoice like a little kid whose loving father has accepted your apology and wants to take you out for ice cream because he loves you. That's how it is. Say "thank You" as an exercise of your faith. You are forgiven! <dancin'> quote:
Don’t even have local church to run to Fix this soon. Find a good church; God never meant for any of us to go it alone. We're meant to function as a body. Your ear can't do much without your eyes. Or feet. quote:
but I am intending to resign from work to go back home which is 3 hours and maybe going back to do my Master degree will help to put things into perspective. I have lost emotion towards life. I hope by time you get down to this paragraph, you are kicking up your heels in glee - God has forgiven you! No one can righteously accuse you (the devil does unrighteously, hence the name of "accuser of the brethren." Resist him and tell him "God has forgiven me. Go away." ("Go sit on a tack" is a personal favorite of mine). You have no unconfessed sin in your life, and God says you and He are cool. You have been depressed, so now is not a good time to make big changes in your life. Crawl up into God's lap and let Him hold you for a while; you are safe there. Then go find a good church (I personally recommend a PCA Presbyterian church), and talk to the pastor. Let him comfort you in God's Word and encourage you to go on and do well. You have not cut yourself off from God's grace, but just have made His grace more obvious in your life. Rejoice, Christian, secure that God loves you (He died for you, right? To forgive sin, right? And you confessed and stopped doing it, right? You're good to go!). Dare to be happy today because all is well between you and God. God bless you, dear one. I am praying for you today! From one forgiven sinner to another. (((Hugs))) And the devil can go sit on a tack, by God's grace.

Sister, listen to the previous posters. If you have confessed your sin you are forgiven; the bible tells us our sin is removed as far as the east is to the west. Leave it at the cross, do not let Satan deceive you because he will try. As long as you are feeling guilt Satan is keeping you from the good God wants you to have. It is so much harder to forgive ourselves but God wants you to. Move forward, grow in your faith and heal.

My husband always says when confused, go back to the cross.
