I've always greatly respected Mike Huckabee's Christian background, political record, and inclusion of a genuine Chrisian faith into his discussion of politics. I personally would rather have him as President over Obama and McCain. What do you guys think of him and would you support him as Pres.?

I loved Mike, I wonder how come he didnt get further in this Christian Country. I would take him over these 2 any day!

I would have supported him as President, unfortunately, I think he's too much of a nice guy to really get down in the mud slinging that is modern politics....and that would have gotten him eaten alive in the process...

I don't agree with some/many of his traditional conservative policies, but I would trust him as an individual to be honest and wise in his dealings. Because I'm more than a bit disenfranchised with conservative policies, I would probably still vote for Obama over Huckabee (though it would be a tough decision), I would definitely vote for Huckabee over McCain. -Dan.

He's likable, but has some connections that are possibly unsavory. For that my support for him dwindled throughout December. He is also not nearly as conservative as some other candidates, other than being staunchly pro-life.

But man, Obama has lots of those, lol.

Since I know with everything in my soul that McCain is going to win, I understand that my vote, especially in KY, won't matter (we're a McCain state). I intend to write in Huckabee.

I like him, but the point is a bit moot at this point, isn't it?

Huckabee was initially respected by democrats and republicans alike wasnt he? But then, -perhaps you missed it--he did speak with a little mud slinging, and people lost respect for him. That is the way I saw it anyhow. Mymother is democrat (not me) and she liked him at first, even tho he had conservative viewpoints of those 'two topics' that seem to separate the demo's from the republicans.

I guess I did miss it. Was it bad? ....Or just the same par as McCain and Obama, etc.? ...It's hard for me to see him like that.
