And how did you do it?

[edit: ...Oh, and how long did it take?]

37 pounds and still losing.

How? Eat better/healthier and exercise. Specifically, I'm on sparkpeople.com and besides walking, I go to Curves.

I lost 30 pounds. I ate a very well balanced diet, and walked as much as possible... making sure to walk at least 1 mile per day. (this was quite a while back)

Currently: 20 pounds, with eating a well balanced diet... writing down everything that I eat to keep track of it. Plus, I work out at the gym at least 2 days per week for about an hour to an hour and a half after work. I also try to add in walking and being more active on the other days that I am unable to go to the gym. I was doing a pilates class as well, but have dropped out recently due to time constraints... but hope to pick it up again soon. I also try to find a "fun" but "active" activity for my husband and I to participate in together about once a week... although that's a bit difficult at the moment since he needs knee surgery. *sigh*

40 pounds, two years ago started with weight watchers, then exercise, execise. I once two years ago had a very unhealthy obsession with food, and fat. I became sick, ( anemia very severe) I started looking older. I ate rice cakes only, and diet pop. I realized this was unbalanced. I have three DD's, and though not right away, I became better. I prayed realized God is a God of balance. I am not a person of balance in some areas, atleast in the area of being perfect or excessive in exercise and diet. I know eat fairly balanced I try. I think that is the way we keep our weight in check. Weight watchers is a balanced program, though I hated counting points. I still work out very hard, though I notice as I am aging, that maybe moderation is the key. The joints, are not the same as in my twenties, they are bothered more. So everyone my soap-box is moderation.

130 pounds so far. I started in march of 2007. I exercise for 60 to 90 minutes on the treadmill 5 days a week and try not to eat as much as I used to.

Oh wow! That's done pretty quickly too. I took me about 6 months to lose 40lbs last time I was at it.

I'm now on a new mission with new goal in mind. Just have to keep at it.

118 lbs. so far, eating a moderately low carb diet (trying for under 125 grams) most of the time. I lost 15 lbs before I started eating low carb in December 2005, but I've been plateauing since January 2007. I've still lost some weight, just not as quickly as at first.

As for exercise, I try to do at least 45 minutes of cardio a week, plus 2-3 days of strength training. I need to get back to doing this though, as I just gained a little and I'm back over 200 lbs again.

We need a new ongoing "One-Stop Thread" for Crosswalk dieters. ...That way we can track each other's weight loss. It'd be fun!

The most I every dropped was 21 pounds (124 to 103) and 17 pounds (140 to 123). And both times I was starting at around 10% body fat. Both times took six plus months to do.

I just started the process to drop 20 pounds, but I'm starting at around 18%

I gained a lot with my first pregnancy, so after my son was born I dropped 40 lbs. over 6 weeks. Then over the next two years (I had another pregnancy in there) I dropped an additional 20 lbs. Just by changing to a healthy lifestyle.

YAY, Harvie!! Way to go!!!

I went from 136 to 104. It took a couple of months.

Oh, and I also lost 40 pounds after my daughter's birth. It took about 3 months.

I lost 60lbs. a few years back. I didn't do it the most healthiest way. I followed the no carb diet but didn't exercise. Recently, I have lost weight but I do not know how much. I started a part time job and that has a lot to do with it. I am more active than I used to be. But also, I don't eat much. That is not good I know but I just don't get hungry. Anyway, that's my story.

Since I don't weigh, I don't know how many pounds, but about 2 1/2 years ago I lost from a size 12 to a size 1 (I'm only 4' 10" so I don't look emaciated). It's been off almost 2 years now and I'm maintaining.

I made nutritional changes and became more active and had regular chiropractic adjustments (yes, that does have something to do with it). The weight loss was just a small part of the overall change in my health.

I went from 220 to 180 in 12 weeks doing the Body for Life program.

Also, as a way to maintain, I haven't had any soda since July 31, 2008.

I lost 15 lbs in 3 days. I gave birth! LOL!!!!

Anyway, the most I've lost is about 10 lbs in two weeks which was not something I intended to lose. If you see me, I'm so tiny that I can't afford to lose anything more. You'd hate me because I'm one of those women that are naturally petite, and that i lose weight very easily. ]

The 10 lbs? I lost it while I was going through a bad break up. I just couldn't eat or sleep. That was a while ago. This past month or two, I was studying for an exam and I spent a lot of late nights studying and Idropped about 6 lbs without trying. I don't snack when I'm studying. Also, lack of sleep and stress makes me lose my appetite. So, it's a struggle for me to keep the weight on. So far, I've gained back about 4 lbs of the weight I lost while studying but I'm still below my normal weight. I'm also very active, so that could be the reason for my slimness.
