Welcom to my dugout. I have sunflower seeds, bubblegum and gatorade on the table in the corner. Since it is winter we are actually in the clubhouse where the stove is putting out heat. Pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable.

To those that do not know me, my name is Gary. I started lurking around Crosswalk in the spring. I liked what I saw and decided to plunge in the forums. I have been actively posting for about a month now. I have gotten to know several of the wonderful people that post here. I am eager to get to know more of you.

A little bit about myself. I am single and have been a Chrisitian since I was about 12.

I have a wide varity of interests. I enjoy watching most sports, escpecially baseball. My curent avatar was taken about 5:30 am last August at a tournement that I attend every year.

I am also a photographer (although not for my living). I belong to a local group of photographers who display their work regularly.

Anyway, welcome to my personal thread.

Hey Gary! I've seen you here and there and I will admit I've been rude by not introducing myself, So here I am. I'm Ben and have been around these threads since before I can remember.

Nice to have another man around here to balance these girlies, not that they aren't like angels, they are, but it'd be nice to talk with someone who know what a slider is.

No girls, it's not that thing that you burn your butt on in the hot summer sun!

I love minor league ball best!
but in the Big leagues, Braves (I am from Georgia) and Cardinals, Orioles.

I do not like Sox of any type, nor teams named after objects that are not living creatures.

I hate the Expos. I hate the Yankees and the Mets.

Hi Gary! Not a sports fan (although Penguins hockey used to be a favorite of mine! and I used to watch baseball with my grandfather.) Just saw you had your own little corner of the forums and thought I'd say "good on ya!" and glad to see you!

Spring Training is a good time to watch this crew in action, even with the sore muscles from being winter couch potatoes.

There's our connection! I've been photographed quite few times.

Come to think of it, a local photographer included my portrait in his exhibit down at the Post Office, but I digress...

I'm glad you came and settled in!

Ah, more visitors, thanks for stopping by.

Marsha, I go to a lot of college games, KU Jayhawks and Wichita State Shockers; minor league, Wichita Wranglers and KC T-Bones and major league, the Royals (it is debatable if they are living or not).

Glad that you are feeling better.

Thankful860, you don't have to be a sports fan to stop by. Stop by anytime.

Euty, I must say you bear a striking resemblence to Patrick Stewart. Are you related?

Gary

Ooooh! Who's been shooting themselves with nailguns? I missed that completely. I just hate it when there's a party and I wasn't invited.

I have had a good day, Gary; thanks!

I'm actually headed on over to "my" thread to 'splain why I've been AWOL in there for these past couple of days.

(I'll leave Ben to do his own 'splaining about the nail gun incident).

LOL!!!

I just went in search of Ben's nail gun incident; it was very rude of me to allude to something that y'all didn't know about. And especially towards you, Gary - I didn't want you to think ill of me - coming into your thread talking about things you weren't familiar with.

During my search, I was "reminded" (by the information gleaned) that Ben is absolutely correct - he wasn't involved in "the nail gun incident" . . . (but one of us Zooneylanders was . . . I'll leave her name out of it; kinda to protect the innocent er, uhm, guilty . . . and no, it's not me; I'm totally innocent . . . this time

HOWEVER!!!! As Ben said here a few posts up, he wasn't allowed to use the nail gun - for the safety of others, doncha know. THERE is a reason for that.

And now, Ladies and Gentlemen . . . for your reading and viewing pleasure:
Posts 2909, 2926, 2967 & 2994

The posts in between are pretty good reading, also. Well, actually, they're downright hilarious . . . but those listed in the link are the "meat" of it all.

Ben, no thanks is necessary. You would have done the same for me

Good morning Everyone

Shar-Mar -- Thanks for the background info. Very enlightning.

Ben -- I can sympathize with your broken toe. Many years ago I broke my little toe when my house was being burglarized.

Have a god day everyone.
