http://www.rottenneighbor.com Would you put negative comments about your neighbors here? Why or why not?

It concerns me that my neighbors could go to this website and lie about my home life, conditions of my property, etc., and there's not much I could do to prevent it. We have neighbors with Christmas decorations knocked over in their yard, bad (biting) dogs, neighbors who leave their trash cans by the curb all week yet have soda cans, old newspapers and other trash thrown all around them, neighbors with cars parked on their front lawn, neighbors who act out (drunk) and fight with spouses on Saturday or Sunday afternoons and lovely neighbors. That's just part of being in a subdivision, I guess. If you follow the link and look up my address, you can see my roof and all the trees I talk about in my blog. I'm the 3rd roof on the right. LOL

No. Putting something there isn't going to accomplish anything except maybe getting my own addressed exposed and neighbors writing simply untrue mean things about me. I'd rather take care of problems locally then post it for the world to see. There's no point in that. And in the world where people are moving much more then they used to - one could look up and address and think all bad when in reality the bad has left and the new neighbors are wonderful folks! That's what would have happened in our neighborhood. I could have posted about our drug dealing, mean dog raising, bratty school skipping children neighbors a few years back but now the folks that live there are wonderful people with just a spoiled rotten little boy whom they are working very hard to turn around. Besides, for the most part we have pretty decent neighbors. No need to post about a rotten neighbor when I don't have one. Blessings, Garsy

I'm blessed to have wonderful Christian neighbours. We live across from a church camp and can listen to the kids singing in the evening. Many of the people from the camp are friends of ours.

I voted not sure because it would depend on what I was posting. If I had a situation and was looking for advice or simply needed to vent, I may. But it would have to be pretty bad for me to go that far.

When I found this site, it really amazed me. If people write negatively there, there is that possibility that they may cause decent neighbors not to buy in their neighborhood. I was glad to see that the writings were fairly sparse. I am also not sure how up-to-date their criminal activity reports are. I have lived in my present neighborhood for six years or so, and more than two of those years were used actively fighting to get drugs and prostitution out and keep them out. Now, we have a problem with partiers who drink, get drunk, get angry, and yell loud enough to wake us, although we are three houses from them. Of course, we can hear them at this end of the block when they are at the corner of the other end. But I would not write them up there. Rather, I have learned their landlord's name, and s/he is getting a letter. I really don't know what writing there does, other than short-term retribution that they may have to live with for a long time, while their posts are public. I don't know -- the site seems useless to me. Someone oughta teach me how to spell!!

No. I am lucky enough to have great neighbors, but even if I didn't I would never post anything about them online or on such a site. That is not going to help make anything better.
