Well done Prince Harry, a shame though that now everyone knows he was there but at least he finally got to serve his country as he so badly wanted to.
At least now, one sees him not only as the party Prince only. As someone from London I can say I am proud of him, as not one son of any of the Members of Parliarment are serving in the war.

It's too bad that the media is more concerned about breaking a "big" story than the safety of the men and women serving there with him. For that information would make his unit target #1 by the Taliban not only endangering his life but of countless others.
The reporter could have sat on the story until his deployment was over. But they are like three year olds waiting for Christmas.

Sounds like the typical media myopia. Only getting a story matters and the possible outcome from the exposure isn't given a second thought.
Breaching operational security should carry mandatory jail time.

The fact the princes have served in the military say a great deal about the Brits and the royal family. You'd never see that in the US.

Give the kid, this, he was trying to be like everyone else, not a little sissy foofoo, like the rest of royals who are men. He has courage an conviction, such a rare thing these days.

That's what I thought too. Just because he's a prince in a royal family that makes headlines all the time doesn't mean it's okay to report his unit's location. They pretty much compromised the safety of the soldiers. Sure he's like a celebrity, but what the journalists that broke the story did was wrong and makes me think really less of them (not that I don't think that already LOL). This goes to show that journalists the world over are really all the same, they only care about the story and damn the consequences when it hits the papers. Since you know, they're not at fault, they're just the messengers.

Hang on - most male members of the Royal family enter the military. Prince Philip fought in WW2, Charles served in the Royal Navy, Andrew fought in the Falklands, William gruaduated from Sandown, Harry served in Afghanastan. Who are the "sissy foofoos"??

I assumed sissy foofoos meant leaders in general not simply the Royals since as it has already been pointed out they do serve which was always my impression.
I mentioned Jimmy because I thought it was newsworthy. I don't like John McCain but the fact that two of his sons have served his youngest in that mess in Iraq speaks something positive about McCain and his family.
