My friends, my dear mother went to be with the Lord tonight. She was 92. I retired to move to this small town to care for my father who died 3/30/07 with Alzheimer's at age 90. Then I stayed with my mother to help her remain at home until the Lord called her. She had a wonderful day today, and a great week this week. Tonight around 8 PM she literally moaned once, took a last breath and crumpled over in her chair and was gone. With my being here she was able to live surrounded by her own things, with her family, until the end. I don't regret taking early retirement so that I could help her at all. I feel priviledged to have been able to do it. We never know when our time is coming. I am sure that she had no idea that her last breath would be taken tonight. She knew the Lord and is with Him now. Father, Thank you for my parents who loved You and loved me. Thank you for allowing me to be with my Mother until the end. I will miss her. Help me this weekend and in the days ahead. Give me strength and comfort. May everything I do glorify You. You have my earthly parents with You now, and I will be there when You call me. I am the clay and You are the potter. Do with me as You will. Lord, I praise You for sending Jesus and that You drew me to Him at a young age. Lord, thank you for forgiving me and giving me the assurance of eternal life. Take care of my mom and dad until I see them again one day. In Jesus Holy and Precious Name I ask these things, Amen. Everyone, please pray for me. My life revolved around caring for my dad and then my mom. I suddenly feel so . . . strange. And heartbroken and can't imagine life without mom who was one of my very best friends and biggest fans.

Dear marstacy: God bless you for your incredible self-sacrifice and work. I am so sorry to hear about your mother passing away, but thank God that you were there for her. Clearly you are a wonderful and faithful daughter to her. I can understand the strangeness you say you're feeling. Caring for your parents has been central to your life for the past several years, and perhaps there's a feeling of 'Now what?'. I pray God will bring you comfort and peace, and give you a clear new direction for your life. Take good care of yourself, and God bless you.

lw9, Thank you so much and God bless you for your loving thoughts and words. I appreciate it more than you will ever know. I think I am going to need some help dealing with this. She was 92 so it is not unexpected, but it happened in a blink . . . very quickly. That is what mother always hoped for and God was merciful. I am happy for her to be with the Lord but sad at the same time. I will miss her so much. Father, thank you for lw9.

Lord, please give special comfort, grace and peace during this time. We thank You that her passing was quick and rejoice that she is now home with You. We pray that You will put Your arms around our dear sister and hold her in Your tender loving mercy. We pray that You will be very real in the coming days and give what is needed each minute of each day. We thank You that we can cast our care on You. We ask all these things in Jesus name. Amen

Father God, Thank You for loving us, for giving Your creation Jesus, that we could, can, do, and can share that love with others. Thank You for parents and for those who care for and love us as parents, and who teach us of Your love for us by what they share with us. Thank You for the health and ability given to Marstacy to be able to care for both parents in their own home for the entirety of their earthly lives. I pray for Marstacy now, as a new chapter of life begins following an early retirement. May the time of sorrows and realization that an objective has been met not be overwhelming, but a comfort found in what follows in a life lived for You. In the precious, life-changing name of Jesus I pray, Amen

DeeAnn, You sweet thing, thank you for the comfort you offer me and for the prayers. Yes, that is what I need right now, my Father in Heaven's arms around me. I am here alone in the house where mother died, her house, our house, now my house. I sent the family home, told them I would be fine. And I will. But my heart aches so right now. It is so quiet. Mother's oxygen machine is off. It is so quiet. I usually spend some of each night listening to her breathe, but she is gone. It is so quiet. Father, Bless DeeAnn for her prayers and thoughts. Surround her with Your love. Help me to help others as they are doing for me. Thank you for bringing me to this forum. I love you, Father God. I hurt but I know You will lift me up. I know you will hear the prayers being sent up on my behalf. In Jesus always, Amen.

Thank you for the dear ones on this forum who reach out in love and concern to someone they do not even know. We are brothers and sisters in Christ. I guess that is all we really need to know. We are family. In the Wonderful name of Jesus My Savior, I pray, Amen.

Father, Thank you for blessing marstacy to be able to care for her father until he died and now her mother. Help her in every way that you know will be best so that grief will not be overwhelming. Help her to cope well with this vacancy in her life and to find good ways to fill the vacancy. Give a wonderful peace and comfort that is beyond understanding. We pray for marstacy in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

:( :( My Nana passed away on October 21. So two weeks ago. And that is extremely hard for me. I miss her so much. She was my hero. I'm really not close to anyone...except for her and she's gone. Lord, I pray for marstacy. Give her comfort in this time. We praise You through everything. And we praise You for letting marstacy be with her mother. We are so happy that she is up there with You. Worshipping you and not feeling any more pain, no more tears, she is worshipping You and kneeling at your feet. Give marstacy peace Give marstacy comfort Remember that God loves you, Marstacy. Take care :/

It is SO hard to not have your special loved one with you on this earth any longer. It doesn't matter if you are 20 or 40 or 60 or even 80! The loss of parents or other special loved ones hurts so bad. But you know where to turn. You turn to Our Father. Thank you for your precious prayer. It lifts me up when I see the picture that you have painted of my mother's blessed condition in Heaven! I ask God to bless you and give you comfort and peace about your Nana. My grandkids call me Nana, too.

Lord, I too lift marstacy to You now. I pray You would hold her and comfort her. Lord, her life is such an awesome example of being a faithful servant and her self sacrificing love is such a strong witness. I pray she would feel Your loving arms holding her and encouraging her. I ask that You would fill that vacancy in her life with Your peace, presence and comfort. I pray You would help her to rest in You and fill her life with more of Your blessings and goodness. Lord I pray that when the lonely times come, she would feel You near her and I pray also in the days to come that she would be able to see her mother looking down from heaven with a thankful heart full of joy, so proud of her and so peaceful. Thank You Lord. in Jesus name, amen

I came here afraid I had breast cancer (praise God no cancer) and asked for prayers. I certainly didn't know that on Oct 2 when I joined this forum, my sweet Mother would go to be with the Lord on Nov 7. Isn't Our Lord good?! He knows what we are going to need. He knows what is best for us. He blesses us in so many ways. He is ready with the remedy when we don't even know we have a problem or need yet. Sunday funerals are kind of unusual I guess, but today we will lovingly place my mother next to her husband of 70 years about 3 PM central time. Continue to remember me and my family in your prayers. I have felt Father God answering your prayers for me every hour, every minute. Thank you all so much for loving me in Christ. Father, Thank you for al4jc and everyone on this forum. Bless their lives for being prayer warriors. Give them all a beautiful day today. Keep them close to your heart. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Buried mother yesterday and guests left at various times today. But that is just a momentary thing. I am sure God will hear and answer all of your prayers for me. I will walk in His strength, not mine. Father, bless Keabird's life and I thank you for the prayers. In Jesus, Amen.
