Lie Detector Tests For Politicians - 10/24/2008 8:29:43 PM

With all of the political ads from various political candidates bombarding the nation's airwaves, I thought of a great idea. I believe that all political candidates, including McCain and Obama, should take a lie detector test on the issues that they promise to solve. That way, we'll know who's telling the truth about their intentions and who's giving us a bunch of baloney. If we knew who we can truly trust to lead our country, then it would make it easier to make a wise voting decision.
Personally, I think that McCain and Palin would pass one, but probably not on every issue. I have my doubts on whether Obama could pass one, due to some things I've read about him in these forums and elsewhere.
Does anyone else think this would be a good idea? Why or why not?

We have to start with a 'pilot project' and work our way up to the big guns.
For instance, let's say that we start with highway engineers. We take the guy that designed the new off-ramp and tie him to the guardrail where the ramo splits from the road. If he lives a week, then we allow him to design another off-ramp.
By the time that we work our way up the a Senator, we will have proven that if one has to live with the consequences of their choices then we get better choices. So, we force the Senator to make the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE and demand that they cannot exempt themselves from the law they just sponsored!!!! Now THAT is the FIRST step to laws that work. If these guys actually have to obey their own regulations the law making process will come to a complete halt!!!
