Does anyone know if the Kingsmen are planning on doing a tribute DVD of Jim Hamill.. I just saw about an 8 minute tribute piece on Youtube and I realized that a full length tribute DVD of Hamill's best live video performances combined with interviews past and present of the Kingsmen, and other groups he sang with would be a wonderful video.
If anyone on here knows any of the Kingsmen, plead with them to do something like this. Maybe combine it with a tribute to Eldridge as well.

Doing that for Jim Hamill and letting the profits go to Mrs. Hamill would be gteat. I would buy one of those.
Just thinking about the World Premier going on right now. The last time I talked to Jim Hamill was at World Premier about 3 years ago. Always had a smile for us and always a pleasure to talk with Jim.

That would be an excellent cause.
My only meeting with Jim was at our local highschool. I was walking down the hall back toward where the bus was parked, and Jim walked up to me and asked, "whatcha got there". I showed him my new Kingsmen Beyond the Clouds video, and he said "you wasted your money, you should've got something good like a Mckameys video" and just cracked up laughing!!! so funny

I believe...the only time I met Jim at a concert(the only time I ever saw him live) was in like 2003 or 2004 I think in Waycross, GA at the all-night sing. This was the last year that the Waycross All-Night Sing was held outdoors and Jim was there with the Kingsmen. That night, the Kingsmen were doing their 3 old Bibletone CDs and rubberband for $20. I got to talk to Big Jim and I got my picture tooken with him and Ray. I also got Big Jim and Ray to sign one of those CD covers. Jim was very fun to talk to and we talked a pretty good bit of time.

I think that it would be a great Idea, I would buy one. I am lucky, I have seen Jim Hamill more than any other group/artist. He was the MC (he was the best MC ever) for the James D. Vaughn Quartet Festival and the Thanksgiving sing here in AL. Because of that I got to see him 2 times a year and more then one night at the Quartet Festival.

Someone that knows how to follow up on this needs to do so. I have no clue how to go about it but I think it would help Mrs. Hamil a lot. God Bless.

I am 54 years old now. I was raised with SG. My dad sang and promoted. My favorite memory of Jim Hamil was when I was 11 years old and Jim sang with the Rebels and he and London Paris and the rest of the Rebels were at our house for dinner after a sing and they borrowed my dad's car as to not have to take their bus and forgot to put the garage door up before taking the car out of the garage and backed right into the garage door. All we could do was laugh. Hamil was driving.

I'm sure it would be a big seller & IF the profits went to Janet Hamill, it would be a blessing to her as well as his legion of fans.

The only time I met Jim or any of the Kingsmen Me and my Wife were dating and they were singing at a local Wal-Mart, 1990. Bonnie had been off the road from the McKameys a little less than a year. She hollered at Beaver and he got the rest to come to our truck. Man thinking about they were the nicest people all of 'em. Talked to me like they'd known me all my life. It stuck with me because I had only been right with the Lord for a little while and it made a huge impression on me in that they were not stuck up and made an effort to talk as they did. So if they do a DVD like your talking about I'd like to get one or three.

I would buy a Jim Hamill tribute DVD. He was in my opinion the greatest lead singer and MC in the business.
