I highly recommend the Mitford Years series by Jan Karon. The main character, Father Tim Kavanagh, is a lovable man. I really enjoyed reading these novels.

I feel the same way about the series. It makes me so sad to know that Father Tim is not a real person...not to mention the other characters I've come to know and love in the books.
