Hello all, Near two weeks ago I proposed and my fiancee and I are planning a May 2009 wedding. I'm wicked excited as she's everything I could ever ask for. One question I had was if there was an advice to prepare for marriage? We're planning to do pre-marital counseling with her minister. Being a guy I'm also thinking about the honeymoon. We're thinking about a remote cabin outside Pigeon Forge, TN that should be nice and relaxing. I also want to be prepared for all the stuff that comes with that. Now I've heard everything from buying myself special clothes, her special clothes, books, etc. etc. etc. Now, years ago I had trouble with the internet and now need to tread carefully. I'm good at getting away from stuff but don't want to slip or give myself the opportunity to slip. What do I really need, what do I really need to worry about, and how can I find said things without finding myself looking at something I should not be. Even something as simple as Amazon.com the wrong search can lead to all sorts of things. Are there any websites that are G rated but would help? Any advice at all from my Christian brothers would be helpful. Thank you!

You need: Her Yourself (properly groomed and clean) a full committment to love her forever That's the entire list. Enjoy yourself, enjoy her, have a great life together

Congratulation! If these special items are essential, maybe you want to save up for them? I wouldn't let them march you deeper into debt, and I'd make sure they'd be things good for long after the honeymoon- things well-made. You aren't after anything made by US sporting good clothiers. I just wouldn't go into debt over it all, or even more importantly get going in an old bad habit. Women love sweaters, jackets, sweaters, jackets, and sweaters. You could see what companies are offering using a safe web browser setting search first, before easing off of it. quote:

One thing I would advise is this, how much debt are you both bringing into this marriage. Also, have you both set down, and worked out a budget? One of the biggest problems in any marriage is Money and how it is maganged. About the internet and all that goes with it. I would say get a good blocking system that will not allow you to go to sites that would lead you into looking at things you really don't need to see, or need. Satan will tell you any and everything to get you to do this. The blocker will be a good defense. The Honeymoon, Pegon Forge is a nice area, been there and enjoyed my time there. Just let nature take it's course this is your honeymoon, and plan it well. You have time to do so. Simway

- Well don't forget that it's finally been determined what the single most common item is that causes women to lose their sex drive... . . . . . . . . . . The wedding cake.

Hey, thanks all for the replies. Good advice for the web. I don't have a problem anymore but one can trip and eliminating any chance of that is always wise. As far as money, I'm in finance so although we don't have a budget yet, we certainly will. I think the Pigeon Forge area will be nice cause it'll give us a cabin in a secluded area to relax at but have things we can go and do at random. Thanks, Nuclear

Remember when you get married two becomes one. Saying that love her as yourself and expect her to do the same. And approach everything together as one. I wish you all the joy I have in my marrage. The love for my wife grows stronger everyday. And I know I love Because God loves me enough to give her to me. As my love for God grows so does my love for her. We have a very active love life. And most of the time she is the one making the moves. Women like the little thing. Simple I love you's. And letting her know she is on your mind. Paul said "Husbands love your wives as Christ loves the Church." I truely follow this charge in my daily life. And it pays off. Don't let pride get in your way. And pray together constantly. God Bless you and her.
