We got a t.v. when I was about 7 years old. There were only a few channels available and everything went off the air at 'bedtime' with a playing of the National Anthem.

Some of my favorite shows from childhood are:

Sky King
Roy Rogers and Dale Evans
The Mickey Mouse Club (Loved the mystery series "Pieces of Eight"??)
The Lone Ranger
Gun Smoke
The Rifleman
Have Gun Will Travel
Tarzan movies

What are some of YOUR favorite shows and do you ever see them on late night?

Oh I loved Ozzie and Harriet. Mom made us go to bed at 7 and O&H came on at 6:30. She would try to get us going so our heads would already be on the pillow at 7 but I'd beg her to let me see Ricky sing.

Evenings:
Bonanza
Gunsmoke
Flintstones
Top Cat
The Rifleman
My Mother the Car
Time Tunnel

Daytime:
Cap't Kangaroo

Saturday morning cartoons - Mighty Mouse, Underdog and especially Loony Tunes, and later, Scooby-Doo. We didn't watch much daytime TV - our Mom kicked us outside to play as soon as cartoons were over. Weekends were the highlight, when the Brady Bunch, Partridge Family and a show called Nanny & the Professor came on. I remember watching Carol Burnett, Sonny & Cher and Flip Wilson, too. My Mom has always been a big game show fan, so I do remember in inclement weather when we were inside during the day watching Jeopardy, Match Game, Hollywood Squares, Password and the $25000 pyramid (with Dick Clark as host).

Childhood shows for me were in the 70's and early 80's... so I would list:

The A-team
Macgyver
Who's the Boss?

That's all I can think of right now, though there were others!

Oh wow Mandi ... you ARE young!!! LOL ... Zoboomafoo is cute ... it was a spinoff of the original show with the Kratt brothers "Kratts' Creatures" (Although now I have the Zoboomafoo theme song running through my head ... "While walking in the woods one day, Chris and Martin saw something strange ... a little leaping lemur who liked to jump and play ..... "

One of my earliest memories is my older brothers waking me up early Saturday morning and rushing out to the TV in the living room, plopping down a foot in front of it, and watching the test pattern until Wagon Train came on.
