I heard the demo to this song, and immediatley was convinced that I was hearing Jeff Pearles. But I knew this was a logical impossiability since Jeff is in California, and Daywind is in Tenessee.
So, is there any way to find out who this studio vocalist is?

It is not impossible. In this digital era, if he was short on money and needed some extra cash, he could have stopped by Tennessee on a tour.

I thought that the group King's Heralds had moved to this side of the country to help them get further with their SG ministry.

They did?? Huum......
After posting this, I remembered that they could have recorded the track and shipped it to any other studio to have Jeff (??) do his vocals.
It's very common to see in Southern Gospel today that 3 or 4 studios are involved in one project, usually one recorded the basic tracks, one to record the orchestrations/etc,, one or more cut the vocals due to a groups' road schedule, another studio mixed what has been recorded at that point, and yet another mastered the final product.

I don't know what y'all are listening to.
I just went to the Daywind website, went to tracks and clicked on If You Only Knew....then selected vocal demo....
That is the Inspirations, and that's Mike Holcomb.....

King's Heralds are in the Nashville area. All of the guys live here. They still have an office in California. web site www.theheralds.org

I just followed your link. No doubt about it, that is the Inspirations. There's no missing that one.

That one has me stumped. I hate to disagree, but I'm leaning 60/40 toward saying they found soundalike singers.

TRUST ME...
I've seen the Inspirations in person TOO many times....(6 or 8 times, at least)
That's no soundalikes......
That's the REAL DEAL.

definatly the Inspirations. I love this song. My three year old nephew that was blind died in 07 unexpectedly and we had it sung at his funeral "I'm in the arms of Jesus and I'm not suffering anymore" has a special meaning when you think of it as a child saying it.
