I love daytime dates. There's so many things you guys can do as opposed to night time dates where your options are limited to dinner and movies. Here's some ideas: Picnic visit the zoo go to a book store and do some book browsing. This creates some interesting conversation pick an interesting area in town and and explore the area. We have an area like this where there's little cute restaurants and cafes, shops, bookstores, artstores. Very, very cool. -Try cooking a brunch together -if you're outdoorsy, go to the park and play frisbee, or go for a short city hike, -Try a rock climbing facility (a friend had a date where the guy took her to a wall climbing place and they had the time of their lives. -Go to the driving range. I've always loved this. I'll see what else I can come up with.

if it'll be more than a meetngreet, amusement park but you may be looking for something shorter ... depending on where you live, strolling downtown doing windowshopping, having ice cream, maybe there is a park nearby ... pottery painting at a ceramic could be fun, relaxed atmosphere, talk over tea/coffee/whatever plus you'll have a souvenir ... if date goes really well, after they tell you when your items will be ready, you could always suggest meeting then to pick up the pottery together once it's done, and maybe go to dinner or whatever. [you certainly don't need to be an artist to do this btw] edit: http://www.paintyourownpottery.net/contact.php can help you locate one nearby mini golf should be open during the day ...

Museums are nice during the day. Where I live each museum has free admission on specific days. You could visit a botanical garden, VERY romantic if the vibe is good, but aestetically pleasing and relaxing at the least. Our musuem district rocks, so one can go to the museum and mosey on over to the park for a picnic or a nice walk.

ORIGINAL: Single4Life Don't you think it would be kinda inconvenient to carry a single flower around all day/night? . . . ........ interesting.... someone gave me long stemmed roses a few days ago.... I kept them in his truck.... and then hung them upside-down to dry when I got back home.... (a girly thing we sometimes do to remember special days! )

Big hits here: Pet store Central Library--I know! But it was great! Botanical Garden State Parks Do your hometown like the tourists do--even the littlest hometowns have some point of pride they advertise... go take it in as if you were a stranger. Fishing--Yes! I know! And I don't really even like to fish! Nursery--The GARDEN kind, not the baby kind! YIKES! Talk about a date-killer... I'll keep thinking.

I hated to think of some poor slob getting dragged through the church nursery with bottles and diapers in hand while his date cooed and cuddled at everybody but him. . . . ........... ha! I'm crackin' up sooooooo bad!!!!

ORIGINAL: followtheLeader I think it would be fun to grab a cup of coffee and take a stroll. If you take a stroller though make sure it's empty. Nothing ruins a good daytime date like a screaming infant and a wild police chase.

Just wondering if anyone has a creative idea for a first date that could take place on a weekday...maybe centered around brunch-time? I thought a picnic at a park on a nice day would be "romantic", but it seems like determining what food to bring would be a gamble. I know that daytime isn't the typical time for first dates, but it would actually work best for both of our schedules right now. I think you better know what kind of food she likes. Then again, if she is crazy about you, she'll eat anything. My vote is a blanket some food and a great conversation. A Rose is sweet. How about her favorite music? Just food for thought Good luck
