I am wanting to study the Holy Spirit more in depth and I was wondering if anyone know a good book on it.

Not sure exactly what aspect of the Holy Spirit you are wanting to study, but I found that Charles Stanley's Wondeful Sprit Filled Life to be a great book on the Subject of the Holy Spirit. Even though I come from a more Charismatic Christian background I found Stanley's book to be quite informative and very readable.

J. I. Packer, the author of Knowing God, one of the classics of the faith has also written a book on the Holy Spirit. I believe it is called Keep In Step With the Spirit. I read it a number of years ago when I was on a quest to learn about the Holy Spirit as well. There are many books on this topic (many of which I read) but Packer's book is the one that stands out in my memory.

Well, I found the book Absolute Surrender by Andrew Murray, and so far it is great. I was wondering if anyone else has read this book?

I have. In fact, I've probably read it several times but a long time ago. It is excellent though and I'd recommend it highly. Anything by Andrew Murray is a worthwhile read.

I heard the book Wild Goose Chase by Mark Batterson is good, Holy Spirit in Celtic is Wild Goose. Has anyone read it?

Amen to this. When I was led to study the Holy Spirit, I first studied God's word and THEN read what others had to say. His word is the basis for all else.

Oh I have read all those and studied them, also 1 cor and rom 8. I just wanted a little more insite and I am aware of all the false teachings on it.

Yeah that is my goal, to fully be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and to be fully used by the Holy Spirit, to allow the Spirit to comfort me, teach me, and control me.

If you are from a Reform background doctrinally, I would suggest "Receiving the Power" by Brad Long and Doug McMurray.

Andrew Murray is also one of my favourite authors - my favourite book by him is "With Christ in the School of Prayer." I love all of his books on prayer, too. However, I didn't enjoy his book "Absolute Surrender" as much. Perhaps it was the mood / headspace I am in lately, I don't know, but I haven't been able to get into it, so have set it aside. I come from a Baptist background But I would say I am about 85% Calvinist. Most of the writers I read are Calvinist, John Macarthur, John Piper, Spurgeon, etc

I am NOT from a Reform theology background, raised classical pentecostal which was mostly Wesleyan theology. However, there were a few things in the Wesley-based pentecostal doctrines that never sat right, made no sense at times and even violated the clear sense of scripture (IMO). The authors' Reform approach really helped to clear much of it up for me.
