There are lot of rumors going around that the year 2012 is doomsday or the end of the world. This is false prophecy so please do not believe this rumor. It is all over the internet and there is also a movie called 2012 Doomsday. The world is not going to end in 2012.

Well it might be......the return of Christ. However, I agree with you, that the rumours about 2012 are without any foundation, mostly based on the Mayan Calender, and all sorts on new age mumbo jumbo.

If 2012 were the end of the world then the new temple should have been commissioned this month...did I miss the announcement?

If the world is due to end in 2012 then are we wasting our time and money preparing for the Olympics in London?
It's costing a lot of tax payers money you know !!!

If ya' ask me, any "prophecy" that says the world is definitely going to end during a certain year is a false prophecy, seeing as how Jesus tells us that only the Father knows the exact time. So, I guess we can keep on planning the London Olympics. ; )

I don't believe it'll be the end of the world, but it'll some significance if Israel signs another peace treaty with the Palestians this year, IMHO.

it is correct that 2012 is not the end of the world exactly.... in spring 2012 the earth will hit a mid point in our galaxy and the poles will shift....obviously throwing off things like communication, compasses and all that but noone really knows what can happen besides that

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the last time I checked Earth wasn't even remotelly close to the centre of the galaxy.

Even if it does end in 2012 -- the question isn't whether we know ahead of time but if we are prepared at any moment -- don't get caught asleep, right -- or stockpiling tin cans in 2011!
